Prize: Top eight finishers in Men’s and Women’s Marathon will be issued with bonus (in USD), one medal and one set of track suit Medal: Full Marathon finishers within the gate closing time will be issued with souvenir medals Trophy: Trophies will be issued to top three in Men’s and Women’s Certificate:
- For finishers of Marathon within gate closing time: will receive a result certificate at the designating place one hour after finishing the race, upon the presentation of both two number bibs
- For finishers of Half Marathon, 10km Race and 5km Race within gate closing time: no rankings, only the participating certificate

General Introduction:
Xiamen International Marathon,one of the two leading marathon competition in China co-organized by Xiamen Municipal Government and Chinese Athletic Association,is registered with International Marathons and Road Races in 2004.It is held on the first Saturday of January every year.
Consistiong of full marathon,half marathon,10-km and 5-km races,Xiamen International Marathon attracts over 20000 participants.The Whole course runs largely through the scenic sections of the city,including Huandao Lu(Ring Road) and large landscaped areas,which are flat and considered to be ideal for a marathon race.In particular the scenic Huandao Lu is regarded among the most beautiful marathon courses in the world.

III. Events: Both Men’s and Women’s Marathon (42.195km), Half Marathon (21.0975km), 10km race and 5km race. Also, we hold Invitational Marathon Tournament for Cities on Both Sides of Taiwan Strait, International Wheelchair Half Marathon, and also 10km Roller Skating Race. For more info, please refer to the regulations respectively.
IV. Course:
- Marathon: The Start (Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center) → Huandao Road → Minzu Road → Lujiang Road → Hubinnan Road → Hubinzhong Road → Hubinbei Road → Dongdu Road → Hubinxi Road → Lujiang Road → Yanwu Bridge → Huandao Road → The Finish (Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center)
- Half Marathon: The Start (Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center) → Huandao Road → Minzu Road → Lujiang Road → Hubinnan Road → Hubinzhong Road → The Finish (Eastern section of Hubinbei Road)
- 10km: The Start (Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center) → Huandao Road → The Finish (Zengcuoanxi Road, Intersection at Xiamen Software District)
- 5km: The Start (Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center) → Huandao Road → The Finish (Yundingnan Road, Entrance to Yunding Tunnel)
V. Entry Rules:
- Age Categories:
1) Participants in Marathon should be over 20, born before January 2nd, 1991. 2) Participants in Half Marathon should be over 18, born before January 2nd, 1993. 3) Participants in 10km Race should be over 15, born before January2nd, 1996. 4) Participants in 5km Race should be over 13, born before January 2nd, 1998.
- Health Requirements:
All participants shall be physically healthy and be often conducting running practice or obtaining running training. Participant is advised to register in the race upon his/her own physical condition and training status. People who fall into the following categories are advised NOT to participate in the marathon competition: 1) those with congenital heart diseases and rheumatic heart diseases 2) those with hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases 3) those with myocarditis and other heart diseases 4) those with serious coronary artery diseases and serious arrhythmia 5) diabetics with too high or too low blood sugar 6) others who are not suitable for sports
- Registration:
1) Both individual and team registration are accepted. Every entrant is required to fill in the Individual Entry Form (see Form I). Team registration shall fill in the Entry Form especially for TEAM Registration (see Form II) with the ORGANIZATION SEAL of the team, and shall attach individual Entry Forms of each team members. 2) The entry number limit of Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km race and 5km race are 20,000 respectively, with the total limited number of 80,000.
- Registration Time:
1) Web Registration: from October10 to December 12, 2010, till the total number limit is met. 2) Site Registration: from November 1 to December 12, 2010 till the total number limit is met. For Individual: 2:30pm-5:30pm from Sun. to Mon, also 9:00am-11:30am on Sat. & Sun. For Team: 9:00am-11:30am from Mon. to Fri. Only
- Registration Charges:
1) Domestic entries (including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan): 40.00RMB per person, with the exemption of entry charges for those who are registration members of Chinese Athletic Association. 2) Overseas entries: 20.00USD per person. 3) Student entries by team registration (no less than 30 persons): 15.00 RMB per person. (4) Overtime registration: from December 13th to20th, double registration fees are required. (5) Class Applying entries: Chinese Residents Only. Only Marathon (42.195km) is open for Class Applying. Only Class Two (or above) is available. The charge is 60.00 RMB per person, and double charges for overtime registration.<Materials needed when registering: specific markers in individual entry forms, three recent photos (one inch for each) without hats, ID card pictures .jpeg, the Recommendation Certificate of the working company>
- Personal runners or participating teams are responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, and are required to buy Life Insurance Against Accidents and Illnesses.
